MICROBLADING AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

An essential aspect of microblading success is following aftercare instructions. To keep the eyebrow area moist, use Aquaphor three times a day for 7- 10 days to avoid oxygen from changing the color of your brows during their setting in phase. Special reminder — do not use makeup remover on the procedure area or apply makeup for 24 hours.

WHAT SHOULD YOU AVOID FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS?

  • Sweating, swimming, hot sauna, or hot bath

  • Sun tanning or salon tanning

  • Facial Massage

  • Picking, peeling, or scraping of the micro pigmented area to avoid scarring or removing the pigment

  • Excessive alcohol consumption might cause wounds to heal slowly

  • Open-air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, and motorcycles

  • No touching of the brow area, except when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab.

WHAT SHOULD YOU AVOID FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS?

  • Sunbathing, sun tanning, or salon tanning

  • Sunlight therapy

  • Chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, as well as face or neck creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid

  • Always use sunblock on the eyebrows (not during the first seven days)

  • Fruit acids

THE HEALING PROCESS:

Throughout the healing process, it is important to avoid touching your eyebrows. Since they are not fully healed, scabbing and shedding will continue. You can apply a cold compress pack (not frozen) or use slightly damp tea bags or face cloths as an alternative for soothing them.

Be gentle! Make sure not to apply too much pressure, and don't rub, scratch, or scrub your eyebrows. The ink might fall off, and you'll have to start the process all over again — not pretty!

After two weeks, you'll notice that your new eyebrows are well on the way to have healed, and their final color will start emerging. If possible, try not to touch them while they're healing.

THE TOUCH-UP PROCEDURE:

About 4-6 weeks after your microblading procedure, it's time to schedule a "touch-up" visit which will help darken the pigment and fix any areas in need for an amazing look!

Additionally, it can take a couple of weeks for your eyebrow color to settle. If you're not happy with the pigment shade of your eyebrows after a few weeks, it can be adjusted during the touch-up visit. Sometimes people have skin types where the ink doesn't take as well and need more than one touch-up to fix their brows.
