MICROBLADING SERVICE IN BURLINGAME
At Elaine's, our microblading artistry stems from years of experience custom-tailoring some of the most beautiful eyebrows our clients always wanted. This minimally invasive procedure gives your thin, sparse eyebrows the appearance of thick natural-looking hair-like strokes lasting 12-24 months (depending on your skin type).
Avoid vitamin A, Retinol products, or other anti-aging creams seven days before the appointment.
Avoid any medications that might thin your blood, including Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, Fish oil and Vitamin E (24-72 hours before appointment).
Avoid alcohol or caffeine before your appointment (at least 24 hours for alcohol).
Avoid any Botox procedures 2-3 weeks before and after your treatment. It will affect the overall symmetry of your brows, as well as the results.
Avoid exercising on the day of the treatment.
Avoid waxing or tinting three days before.
Avoid chemical peels.

WHO SHOULD REFRAIN FROM MICROBLADING?
A consultation is required before your microblading procedure several days in advance — we’ll discuss eyebrow expectations, pigment choice, and skin preparation for the best results.
You will be asked to sign a consent form and answer a medical questionnaire (this is standard procedure).
The day of the appointment includes:
A walk through for the desired brow shape.
We take measurements and pencil your brows to help determine the optimal symmetry for your bone structure.
The general shape and thickness are determined based on the desired appearance.
The numbing of the eyebrow area then the pigment selection to complement your brow and hair color.
After the microblading procedure is complete, the excess pigment is removed to reveal your newly created eyebrows.
A touch-up visit is needed within 4-6 weeks to achieve desired results — after 6 weeks there will be a $100 charge.
THE PATH TO PERFECT EYEBROWS
In the coming days, the area will turn completely dark as scabs form. As a result, a certain amount of pigment will come off along with the scabs. Your scabs should start peeling in the next 7 to 14 days. As some develop thicker scabs than others, the healing process will vary by person.
For best results, please do not pick at the scabs. Be patient and trust the process. After the new skin has regenerated and flaking has stopped, hair strokes may seem lighter and, in some cases, disappear.
It takes approximately 4-6 weeks for the actual color of your pigment to emerge.
